Searching engines doing video now

Yahoo and Google are moving on to the next battleground in the search business: video. Yahoo launched a search service today that lets users search content on Bloomberg TV, BSkyB and the BBC. At the same time, Yahoo also unveiled its video-search service on the Web.

I understand Google has set up machines that store all the close captioned text from tv shows, along with some frame grabs. Pretty neat stuff.

I think it is a key in the expantion
of search engine into global web corperations.
They will continue to grow and expand in many
other ways.
