Robinson Crusoe by Daniel Defoe (Dan Lazar)
A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens (Jim Dale)
A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens (John Lee)

Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson (Richard Matthews)

When I click the download buttons, IE prompts me to open or save the mp3 file. I suspect your issue is a local browser setting.

I have the same problem. There are people who just don't have IE. It's some kind of javascript, maybe it only works on Windows computers.

Pity, I would have liked the Neil Gaiman story.

It's possible your browser is just set to handle(play) the file rather than prompting you...what browser are you using?

The Good Earth by Pearl S. Buck (read by Anthony Heald) is Downpour's free audiobook this month.

Quote:
Winner of 1932 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction

Booklist Editors’ Choice Audiobook for 2007

This Pulitzer Prize–winning classic tells the poignant tale of a Chinese farmer and his family in old agrarian China. The humble Wang Lung glories in the soil he works, nurturing the land as it nurtures him and his family. Nearby, the nobles of the House of Hwang consider themselves above the land and its workers, but they will soon meet their own downfall.

Hard times come upon Wang Lung and his family when flood and drought force them to seek work in the city. The working people riot, breaking into the homes of the rich and forcing them to flee. When Wang Lung shows mercy to one noble and is rewarded, he begins to rise in the world, even as the House of Hwang falls.

I couldn't get the downloads with IE8.

Try downloading from this link, where three of the stories (including the Gaiman one) are listed. Seems as if these were all posted quite some time ago.

I got it to work on Chrome. It automatically started playing, but if you right click anywhere on the page outside of the player, it offers a "Save as..." option. If you right ON the player, you get a "Save video as..." option which is NOT what you want.

Just as an FYI, apparently just for creating an account, they also give you As A Man Thinketh by James Allen for free.
