Calibre has a well featured TOC editor (available both at the Libraty level and as part of the editor).
In addition to the 'header' method, similar to Sigil. It allows a point and shoot approach (move the green line) |

@Turtle91: oh, I see what you did there, thank you very much! That reminds me of the good old times when I attended diverse computer science schools and universities to gain my graduations, and at one of them, they taught Java and had two scientific assistants, who checked the home works of the students, and also he introduced us to coding styles, e.g. To place an introducing comment before every method, to write down exactly what you did there... Unfortunately, I learned HTML earlier than Java, and on a much easier level, that I didn't consider HTML to be a full-blown programming language, without the need to extend my knowledge of coding styles to this area. But with your example, I can see that HTML is exactly an area where coding style is necessary.
@Hitch: I never tripped over a SOD when I opened my EPUB files in Sigil, the maximum amount of error reporting was that a message box popped up and inside was a note that the source lacked "well-formed HTML". Last edited by yJan1986; 09-24-2018 at 07:28 AM. |

Hello,
I haven't responded in a week, because I was on a pilgrimage with the maltesers to rome. A great deal of the material was based on the results of an earlier version of abbyy finereader - that software came with the scanner of my dad, time was ~ <15 years. I don't know anymore if the result was already an HTML file or if I converted the file to HTML, that additional step could have caused these irritations, apart from the fact that I have customized the pages with my own navigation. I did a bit of quick cleanup (while watching the Canucks/Panthers NHL game) to cleanup the errors and prettified the file to make the code easier to follow. The cleaned up and prettified file is attached. Have fun... Last edited by DNSB; 10-13-2018 at 08:33 PM. Reason: Fat fingered typos... |
