Question Add cyrillic fonts to Kobo WiFI

Good day! How to add Cyrillic fonts to Kobo WiFi reader? Generating files with embedded fonts is inconvenient and does not always work, especially if you download books from online libraries.

First read this: Summary of Modified Fonts
- pinned thread
Second: most of factory fonts support Cyrillic.

You can try Charis SIL font also.

Unfortunately, Kobo Wi-Fi doesn’t support additional fonts. Creating a folder of fonts and copying the font files there does not give any result.

I don't know if Kobo Wi-Fi includes factory fonts in clear or scrambled (like newer models) version. If they're scrambled and newer fonts aren't supported, embedding them is IMHO your only option. If the included fonts are clear you can create a "firmware update" where the factory fonts are replaced with versions supporting Cyrillic characters.
