Looking for some old-print serif fonts...
See the samples below, with the most representative glyphs, like A, U, R, S, g, f, t, s:
It's a font used in print, around 1940-1950. Thanks in advance |

There is a very similar font that's from Hallmark. It was (or still is) a font included in one of their programs. See the attachment for the font.

The t is what bothers me the most.
Otherwise the font is close to times family. |

The shapes aren't the same but it does have that worn look; see
https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=279887 and from there follow the link to http://www.psymon.com/fonts/alde.html |

Well, if I would known which font exactly it was close I would have found it myself. Maybe. Unfortunately, I only know it was used around the war.
It's not the worn shape that I am interested in (it's because of the scanning), but in particular the shapes, in particular that of t (it's the only font I've seen with the upper part so long and shifted to the right). |

Also-mentioned: Valifieris and Contenu. Not "alike," but similar in feel, somewhat. The Contenu might suit to channel the FEEL. Sorry. That one, I suspect, like my last great Font Hunt, may yield nada, nothing, zip, zein. I'm pretty good at finding fonts, and I can't find it or even something closer than what I've listed. A lot of fonts require extensive hand-searching through old font catalogues. I have the Fontbook, etc., but not that far back. Hitch |
