SCI-FI: Daniel Keys Moran
I mentioned in another thread that the books of Daniel Keys Moran are freely available from:
http://www.immunityinc.com/resources-dkm.shtml I should have also mentioned that he has a blog, in which he writes about the Lakers and the Dodgers and other things about as often as he writes about writing, and his posts about ANYTHING don't come very often (the man, unfortunately, has a life... go figure). He's written very little since the early 90s. However, he has re-acquired the rights (from Bantam) to his 4th novel in the "Trent The Uncatchable" series (Emerald Eyes, The Long Run, The Last Dancer) called AI War. The blog is at: http://danielkeysmoran.blogspot.com/ The interesting part (for those that have read his books and enjoyed them) is that he's 'published' some extensive excerpts from AI War on his blog over the past couple of years. Supposedly, the whole book was supposed to be available for purchase (he had to buy the rights back from Bantam, who had never published it) last November, but apparently life got in the way. Anyway, the following are links to the sections he posted to his blog, in order. It's not entirely clear whether the first one is part of AI War or some other fragment, but I thought I'd include it anyway, since it involves Trent. The last four are definitely fragments of AI War, and should be read in order: http://danielkeysmoran.blogspot.com/...1_archive.html http://danielkeysmoran.blogspot.com/2008/05/ai-war.html http://danielkeysmoran.blogspot.com/2008/06/ai-war.html http://danielkeysmoran.blogspot.com/...her-chunk.html http://danielkeysmoran.blogspot.com/...1_archive.html Another web site that might be of interest, because it has various other DKM related pieces and information on it, is a fan site at: http://www.kithrup.com/dkm/ |

Thanks!!!
Perhaps one of our industrious ebook producers might offer either Immunity or Mr. Moran versions in other popular ebook formats? Last edited by NormHart; 09-10-2009 at 11:17 PM. |

However, if someone is interested in doing something along that line, he's quite approachable, and the worst he'll do is say, "No, thanks." |
