Txt/PDF to Speech Converter program

isn't there any text or pdf to speech converter program so we can just listen to the book instead of spending hours reading them?

If there is no iPad app for that.. is there a PC program that can convert a pdf to mp3 in a fly so we can just listen to the mp3 ebook later?

no. there isn't a text or PDF speech converter program on any of Apple's devices (iPad, iPhone or Touch).

oh they can do it, play with VoiceOver and you'll see it works fine. it's more of a licensing issue and publishers not wanting to cut into their audio books market. amazon was forced to cut back the same feature on the kindle by publishers.

One such program is NaturalReader.

The Professional edition will convert text directly to MP3. Unfortunately this feature is not available in a Mac version yet.
