Cool Images all missing
Bought an EPUB from lulu.com and opened it in Sigil. All the images were represented by a little blue square. I checked the images folder and there was just one file called sample.jpg. So I imported the EPUB into Calibre and used the tweak function and all the proper images were in the images folder as well as sample.jpg. So I regenerated the EPUB and when I opened it with Sigil it was the same as before, no images. I opened it with ADE and all the images were there!

There are no images there to be correctly referenced. But the location that they're referenced to is where they should be, but they're not there. They're missing!

Once the ePub is loaded in Sigil, try putting in the images where they belong and see what happens.

I Changed the images in the exploded epub to Images. I changed href="images/sample.jpg to href="images/spacer.jpg. I changed the 2nd and 3rd id="img1" to id="img2" & id="img3".

Didn't help except that the images are now there in the Images folder.

If that is the case : it's a pretty big improvement, could you now check the image usage in the book? specifically the src attribute, it should be src="../Images/<blarg>".

I'd already tried that, but tried it wrong. I had capitalized the I but the ../ was simply missing.

So, in my mind then, this question remains.

Why, if ADE, Calibre's convert function and Calibre's ebook viewer all seem to not have problems with the original ePUB, does Sigil have problems with that same ePUB? Is the problem fixable and is it worth fixing?
