Hi all...beginner question about Preferences...

Hi everyone, just bought my 1st e-reader this weekend (nook). I'm trying to figure out how to add in a plug-in. The threads and calibre user manual talk about "Preferences" (i.e. go to Preferences>plugins, etc. ). I don't know where to find Preferences. I don't see it on my toolbar so I don't even know where to begin. The buttons that I see at the top are: Add books, Edit Metadata, Convert Books, View, Send to Device, Library, Device, Fetch News, Save to Disk, Connect/Share, Remove Books. Is there something that I'm missing or need to do to get the Preferences button to show up?

Thanks!

To the right of what you've described you should have three more buttons: "Save to disc", "Connect/Share", "Preferences". Perhaps your window isn't large enough to display the entire toolbar?

Good to have your company, NewNookie. There's a Nook-dedicated sub forum here, by the way, if you need quick advice in plain English from experienced Nookers. Happy e-reading and best wishes. Neil
