How to display the actual file storage path of the current ePub book?
I need to be able to show the actual file storage location path of the ePub book file that I am currently viewing.
I sometimes launch the ePub file from a file explorer and then close it, so I may not remember where it is actually located. So I need a quick and easy way to see where the file is stored. I would like the location displayed in the Title Bar (top) or Status Bar (bottom) of the ePub Reader itself. Is there a setting to make this possible? |

The closest option for you:
Preferences > Look & Feel > Book Details. Show "Path" and "Formats." This will display in the book details pane. You can hover over the links to see the paths in a tooltip. Right-clicking either option has an option to copy the path to clipboard. Right-clicking a format has an "Open With" menu and you can add your preferred viewer. Clicking on "Path" opens the folder in your file manager. Last edited by ownedbycats; 11-10-2022 at 01:45 AM. |

The open tool drop down will show (and open) the last dozen or so books accessed - but it doesn't show their locations.
And I can't think of any indirect way - e.g. by opening the book in the editor. it will use a working copy of the unpacked epub in calibre's temp location. It maybe available via the viewers annotation feature, if they can be stored as sidecar files, maybe someone who uses it could comment. BR |

Ctrl+E or Ctrl+N in the viewer, perhaps?
