Kernel 3.x on Mini/Glo or compatible ?

Has anyone a working 3.x linux-kernel (cat /proc/version) for the Mini or the Glo ?

I've found on the net some blogs of users that have made an attempt to build a 3.x kernel but I couldn't figure out if they where successfull.

Has anyone the additional serial ports (/dev/ttymcx2, /dev/ttymcx3)
that can be found on a GLOs PCB got to work ?

Why is the first serial port (/dev/ttymcx1) on J5 ? What about J1 and J2 ?

1.)
The two other serial ports are not wired to the main CPU. They are wired to the MSP340 chips.

2.)
The CPU pins for the two other serial ports are used by alternate functions. Those pins are configured vie a crossbar immediately after booting. So with the Glo and the Mini boards one can use only one _single_ serial port.

No, I tried this one already. It is intended for the GLO-HD but it doesn't work on my older GLO. The basic configuration for this kernel is for a different CPU and it seems that the code for the PINCTRL MUX is not ported.

older Mini/GLO have architecture code in arch/arm/mach-mx5
newer GLO-HD has architecture code in arch/arm/mach-mx6

In mx5-folder of the 3.0.35-kernel the files ntx_hwconfig.c and
mx50_ntx_io.c are missing. They where not ported from 2.6->3.0
Some similar files are available in mx6-folder.

To have the newer kernel on the older GLO/Mini is important for me because I want to get support for some newer sensors (available with some 3.x kernels) and some newer WLAN stuff (hostap driver).
