cradle for Iliad postponed to June 2007

Hello to all,

does anybody know whats wrong with Irex?

First the cradle for the Iliad was postponed to December 2006, then to January 2007 and now to June 2007. Thats over half a year.

greetings

Maybe they delayed the cradle to rush into production of a new slip cover case with fabric keyboard?

Hehe, you wish

That would be great though.
And recharging the battery via USB when connected to a computer would be great aswell

Oh goodness, not the recharge off USB topic again! Speaking of broken records...

I'm recharging off one of those cigarette lighter inverters that provides 115V into the standard iLiad power brick.

Is the inverter really necessary? Somehow it's strange to convert 12V DC up to 115V AC and back down to 12V DC.

A cigarette lighter charger should require little more then a capacitor, a fuse and two cables.

Yes, thats probably it. Using the built-in but un-documented Bluetooth chip, so it will be wireless as well.

By the way, in the last years I have noticed a change in the openess of the hardware bussiness: they do not erase the chip numbers anymore.
