PRS-505 cannot open books with version 3.1

For the last two days I have done everything suggested in this forum and nothing works. Played with DEP, reset and hard reset, removing and reinstalling software many times and nothing. Installed, removed and reinstalled Calibre, same problem. I can transfer books into the 505 but cannot open them. Using Adobe digital reader I used to just copy and paste but no more since Sony upgraded the software. Never had any problems before this and I really don't know what else to do. As soon as I connect the 505 to my computer I get an error message, the same when I try to open a book. Both Adobe digital reader and Sony library have been deauthorized and authorized again. What else to do?

I am having the same problem since the Reader Store and Sony switched to EPUB file format. Everything is up to date and authorized bubt the Reader shuts down and restarts as soon as I select a new EPUB book. The local Sony repair srevice outlet has no idea what to do to fix the problem. I've had the Reader for 1 year and it has work perfectly until the 'upgrade'. Anyone have any idea's.

Nothing I did worked on my Sony Ereader 505 and finally called Sony support. They tried to blame the library, Adobe, but they did something on my 505 and it's working again. I used to open Adobe Digital and paste the downloaded books directly into the Ereader. No more. Now every time I download a book I have to install using their software with all the glitches. No fun.....
