Scrolling in search field and series_index

Hi again

This is making me crazy, so please help!

When I accidentally scroll while pointing the mouse on the search field (main library view) it scrolls through all the last searches. It's making me nuts, because it always takes a while till it all stops and then I have to undo it again.

The same happens when I point the mouse on the series_index (detailed view). But there, of course, it just scrolls through all the numbers some mathematic could ever think of.

I know, you might say "Then don't use the wheel of the mouse", but I do have an Apple Magic Mouse with this nice touchpad surface, where you might just scroll accidentally while moving your finger over the mouse - and calibre is really sensitive here. And no, I don't want to use another mouse

Can I turn this scrolling off?

Can the apple magic mouse be configured to exclude its middle mouse scrolling from given applications. Some gaming mouses can be configured to exclude some buttons in some applications (or do different things)

Sorry for the late reply. I didn't have much time for my computer lately

I tried the program you mentioned, but wasn't able to find something that could help me out. I'll just have to be more careful with my mouse, I guess.
