Basic questions about firmware updates?

Where can I find the latest firmware version information for all Kobo e-readers?

Where does my Kobo wireless e-reader goto to (on the web) in order to find if it has the latest version or not?

Is version 1.9 the latest for my Kobo Wireless? (according to wiki, it is!)

Does every Kobo wireless e-reader update from the same place or is this reseller dependent?

Why isn't there a sticky thread with this information already?

Not a clue.

Not sure. Hook your Kobo up to your comp and poke around its .kobo directory - there's a configuration file there with the various addresses it connects to.

1.9.10 is the latest firmware for the Kobo Touch. No idea for the other Kobos. Not that it matters - if you use the desktop software, you'll get the latest firmware and you can just check your device information...

Should be all the same place.

Because no one's bothered to ask before, probably.

In the past, updates have been rolled out to different markets/different resellers at different times. I have no idea if anyone actually selling/supporting the touch has not rolled out 1.9.10.

Everyone has received the 1.9.10 update. Simply sync your device and if it requires an update it will prompt you to do so.

The post below has instructions for manually installing firmware, and has a section on getting the load from download.kobobooks.com:

that is an excellent read, however, wzambotti was asking for kobo wireless firmware. the link in that guide is for the kobo touch. wzambotti will not want to attempt to install the touch firmware on the wireless.

does anyone know the link to the wifi's latest firmware?

Sorry, was confused since all Kobos are technically wireless, but I now see he meant the Kobo Wifi.
