Kindle DX in Beijing China
I just bought a Kindle DX and really like it but will be moving to Beijing China - Does anyone know if:

1. I do a move to china as my home residence on Amazon what will happen?
Will my books become free or will I get charged an extra surcharge
Will I be charged extra for periodicals.

2. Should I keep my US address (I still will have a mailing address in the US) and then download everything using my computer? Which seems like a big hassle - but might be worth it.

So far, I have newspapers, books, and magazines on my Kindle.

1) China is officially unsupported for Kindle. Therefore, no Kindle Store for China-based book purchases. Amazon dropped the $1.99 overseas surcharge for US-based customers downloading books via Whispernet, but periodicals are still charged extra.

2) Yes, and yes. This is basically the only way to get your books if you want to buy them via Amazon. I also advise downloading and transferring everything via computer to avoid having Amazon send you a note asking for proof of current US residence as they have for other overseas customers.
