Kindle DX line spacing...
I have a first generation Kindle DX, which I love...but could love a lot more...
I recently altered the reader preferences file to allow left-justification, which (for me) greatly improves readability. And last night, while clumsily reaching for my DX, I hit some mysterious combination of buttons and the text switched to a double-space format. Oh. My. God. It was amazing, and completely revolutionized the reading experience, and was SO much easier on my eyes. The change persisted in every book, but there was still no line-spacing option in the "Aa" menu, and the minute I did a reset the line-spacing went back to the crowded default format. I can't replicate the glitch. I have seen font hacks everywhere, but NOTHING to change line spacing. Does anyone have *any* idea how to make this happen? Any tricks? I never jailbreak anything, but the difference between single and double spacing was so awesome that I wouldn't hesitate to jailbreak and invalidate my warranty in a *heartbeat* if I could get doublespacing back. Please...tell me...is anyone working on this? Any ideas? |

Maybe the K2-style shortcut Alt-shift-number to change line spacing? I think on the K2, the default spacing was alt-shift-3.

nope, doesn't work. I've been trying it frantically for 24 hours, but it turns out that the functionality is disabled in dx due to the missing number row.

I think I found it.
![]() ( I have many stuff installed but I think these two are the most relevant. You can try without the following and let us know if it also works.) 1. launchpad 2. Mp3 in music folder Press key without let go in the following order: <shift> + <alt> + <space> + <Q> (which is <1>) <Q> must be pressed after <space> in a relatively fast speed. * It also works for Kindle 3 (keyboard) ------------------ Here is my theory:
