Use parse_index to parse XML?

Yestoday, I ran into some full-article Atom pages which parse_feeds failed to parse, due to missing unique entry id.

I think about using parse_index to do the job.

My question is:

When parse_index is used to parse an XML page, how could contents embedded in the XML be extracted and exported into the ePub?

The export of parse_index does not contain "description" attribute.

As we know, use_embedded_content =true only works for parse_feeds.

Hope to have your advice. Thanks a lot!
