Batteries for DR1000

Hi all,
I've carried out a reasearch on batteries and have found some models fitting DR1000.

VARTA PLF 503759 -This is the newer version of "original" one, I believe (about 1000mAh):
http://www.elektronik.ropla.eu/pdf/s.../plf503759.pdf

VARTA LPP 503759 8HH -This is the newest version of the "original" (1400mAh):
http://www.varta-microbattery.com/en...ts/DS56427.PDF

Dianionics DLP 543759 - This one looks good as well (about 1300mAh):
http://www.gpbattery.pl/upload/files/1493577349.pdf

Yoku Energy 573450 - The worst one (about 900mAh):
http://www.elektronik.ropla.eu/pdf/s...279_573450.pdf

Enjoy.

-------------------
I'd like to buy LPP 503795 8HH or Diaconics DLP 543759 but I can't get any of them in my country. I would highly appreciate if someone could help me.

In Poland. Varta retailer claims Varta sells only to its well-known customers, the other says I need to order at least 150 pieces or something like that.

I don't know which criteria to use when looking for a battery, so I don't think I can help much. It might be an idea to look for a suitable shop that only sells to consumers and go from there. One example would be Amazon.de, they sell quite a lot of batteries.

Also, wouldn't it be necessary to use the same capacity as the original for the replacement?

It's not so easy. I have tried, believe me. And I haven't found any.

There's no need to use the same capacity. There are guys over here who have installed an additional battery parrallel to the original one or have replaced the original with a bigger one. I've found batteries of the same size (or almost the same) so they fit in the case and there is no need to cut any holes in the cover. Look:

Interesting, though in the first thread there were problems with the battery gauge because of the added capacity, so it might not be a completely smooth affair.

If all that's required is that it's a 3.7V Lithium Polymer that fits into the DR1000s then Amazon.de should have some suitable batteries. I don't know about any Polish shops though, so that's the closest that I can think of.

See for instance: http://www.amazon.de/Qualit%C3%A4tsa...0250201&sr=8-9

Glad to help. It would be great if you could post some of your experiences afterwards. It could be helpful to others (including me) to know if you encountered any problems or if everything went as expected.

Anyway, I hope it works for you.

Looking too and wondering: what is the nominal capacity of the orginal battery? Does anyone know? Was brand and type written on it perhaps, marcins? (I'd rather open my DR1000 only once.)

Meanwhile, found another variety, which according to the website of Varta the Netherlands is distributed in my country:

Varta LPP 503759 DL (1300mAh)
http://www.varta-microbattery.com/en...ts/DS56478.pdf

Not sure that's any help, mimimum order quantity is 480 batteries .
http://www.texim-europe.com/?item=pr...6478201012-VAR

Seems these really are OEM parts, sold by Varta in bulk only. I've asked for these at my local store for electronics parts, but they couldn't get me anything of the sort - though generally speaking it is a really good store with a very wide assortiment.

The capacity of the original is 1300mAh.

Here's a direct link to a photo of the original battery (taken from the thread Mackx linked to).

The .06 on the type number refers to the capacity (I think), in this case 1300 mAh.

Thanks for the info. That's interesting. The spec sheet marcins linked to in the opening post is in fact not of a newer, but an of older version of the PLF 503759 from shown in the picture. Here's the datasheet for the .06 version, with the 66663 type number shown at the start of the serial number in the picuture.

So the DR1000 indeed came with a 1300mAh battery and the 1140mAh mentioned in that thread is wrong (probably from an older type spec sheet as well?). Unfortunately, that means picking up a 1200mAh battery from Amazon or eBay, doesn't get one back to full orginal capacity. As I'm not too keen on those white label batteries anway, I'll keep hunting for a Varta for a bit longer.

CameronSino - CS-IQN600SL, 1500mAh

Hi Guys,
Firstly, I think the datasheet for the original battery is this:
http://www.farnell.com/datasheets/89136.pdf
PLF 503759 D
66663
PLF503759.06
Dimension: 58.5 mm x 37 mm x 5.0

And not the LPP 503759 DL from the link above.
LPP 503759 DL
http://www.varta-microbattery.com/en...ts/DS56478.pdf
Li-Ion

Secondly, I have purchased and changed the original battery with this one
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Replacement-.../dp/B003DML2G8
http://img85.imageshack.us/img85/199/csiqn600slbig.jpg
CameronSino Technology
ItemNo.: CS-IQN600SL
Volts: 3.7 V
Type: Li-Polymer
Capacity: 1500 mAh
Dimensions: 59mm x 36mm x 5mm

Just wandering how the original and the replacement differ.
The dimensions are identical though, and the Irex DR1000S seems to like it so far.
I will report if there is anything unusual after the replacement.
