Twisted by Michaelbrent Collings is $0.99 at Amazon US.

Quote:
The Douglas family just wants to live their lives, and maybe find a bit of happiness. But when the ghost in their home breaks out of a centuries-long sleep, all hope for happiness will die. Because the thing that haunts them is not just evil... It is something much, much worse. Watching them from the shadows. Hungry to start killing once more. And thirsty for the blood of the children, the blood he has so long been denied. The thing that haunts them is not just evil. It is twisted.
Okay, I admit, it sounds a little silly.

A couple of books I picked up previously are on sale again:

Winterbay Abbey: A Ghost Story by John Bladek and Davonna Juroe is $0.99 at Amazon US.

Quote:
Written in the tradition of classic English ghost tales, "Winterbay Abbey" is an unsettling Gothic thriller.

Will Larson has one last chance to save his stagnant career as an architect: design a grand restoration for a long-abandoned abbey. Looming above the breathtaking, windswept coast of Maine, Winterbay Abbey offers a picturesque spot for a charming hotel. But the locals harbor a peculiar distaste for the ruined Gothic convent.

After witnessing a drowning within sight of the abbey, Will wonders why the police seem disinterested in the case. He begins looking deeper into the incident, gradually uncovering chilling secrets behind the old nunnery's walls. Will's wife, Emily, becomes convinced the drowning is a ghostly replay of a forgotten death. But their investigation into the abbey's frightening history results in a tragic end with no escape from Winterbay's dark curse.

Inside by D.M. Siciliano is $0.99 at Amazon US.

Quote:
1987 “Does it burn in the dark?”

Reid is a bully, but he’s still Alex’s best friend. When Reid pushes Alex and their friends into invading a historically haunted Massachusetts house, Alex knows it’s a terrible idea, but indulges his friend. What could go wrong?

Inside, a mysterious Shadow looms in the darkness. The door to the house vanishes, leaving them trapped. The group flees through the tiny, one-roomed house that defies logic, constantly shifting, presenting them with new doors, hallways, and rooms that seem to be plucked from their memories and fears. One by one, the Shadow hunts them, intent on burning them all from within.

Hark! The Herald Angels Scream is currently $1.99 at Amazon US.

Quote:
Eighteen stories of Christmas horror from bestselling, acclaimed authors including Scott Smith, Seanan McGuire, Josh Malerman, Michael Koryta, Sarah Pinborough, and many more.

That there is darkness at the heart of the Yuletide season should not surprise. Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol is filled with scenes that are unsettling. Marley untying the bandage that holds his jaws together. The hideous children--Want and Ignorance--beneath the robe of the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come. The heavy ledgers Marley drags by his chains. In the finest versions of this story, the best parts are the terrifying parts.
Bestselling author and editor Christopher Golden shares his love for Christmas horror stories with this anthology of all-new short fiction from some of the most talented and original writers of horror today.

The Dark Game by Jonathan Janz is $0.99 at Amazon US.

It's been on sale before, so check before you buy.

Quote:
Ten writers are selected for a summer-long writing retreat with the most celebrated and reclusive author in the world. Their host is the legendary Roderick Wells. Handsome, enigmatic, and fiendishly talented, Wells promises to teach his pupils about writing, about magic, about the untapped potential that each of them possesses. Most of all, he plans to teach them about the darkness in their hearts.

The writers think they are signing up for a chance at riches and literary prestige. But they are really entering the twisted imagination of a deranged genius, a lethal contest pitting them against one another in a struggle for their sanity and their lives. They have entered into Roderick Wells’s most brilliant and horrible creation.

The Dark Game.

Dark Channel by Ray Garton is $0.99 at Amazon US.

Quote:
People from across the country and around the globe are coming to the mountain retreat of Hester Thorne, the enthralling leader of the Universal Enlightened Alliance. They are coming to hear the comforting wisdom and messages of peace offered by Orrin, the centuries‑old entity that Hester channels. They are coming to donate their money and time to Hester, the Alliance, and Orrin. And some are chosen to make a more significant contribution . . . a greater sacrifice.

Jordan Cross is looking for a reporter who disappeared while investigating the truth behind the Alliance . . . Lauren Schroeder is trying to find her husband, who joined the Alliance and kidnapped their son . . . Together, they will go behind the Universal Enlightened Alliance’s false front of crystals and meditation and life‑affirming positivity to discover the terrifying truth of an ancient cult bent on tearing down the wall between this world and one of unspeakable evil. The process has begun and the final dark rites are under way. It may already be too late . . .

In 2013 Clive Barker wrote a 12 issue comic series called Next Testament.

The series is on sale at Amazon US at $0.99 per issue or $3.99 for each of the three collected books. Either way, the whole shebang would run you $12.

I read it a few years back and really enjoyed it. It's dark and can be gross, but it's Clive Barker. What do you expect? The art is very good too, but Clive Barker writing an original novel as a comic series is the real draw for me.

Quote:
The first all-new original comic series created and written by Clive Barker is here! Julian Demond, captain of industry, has left behind everything to begin a walkabout -- he believes he's on a mission from God. While in the wasteland, he comes across a figure unlike any other, who calls himself Wick.

Parasite: An Alien Horror by Darcy Coates is $0.99 at Amazon US.

Quote:
They're closer than you think...

A guard discovers an unusual lifeform on her remote moon outpost. She disregards protocol to investigate it, with catastrophic consequences.

The parasitic alien wears its victims' skins and adopts their personalities. It's a perfect disguise, and allows the creature to spread without being detected. By the time humanity realises it's facing extinction, a third of its six hundred space stations have already gone dark.

As the alien's ruthless progress collapses communication networks, wipes out defences, and leaves hundreds of stations to fend for themselves, a handful of remarkable individuals must find a way to battle the greatest threat the universe has ever encountered.

^ Who needs money?!

Most of us have friends, lovers, girlfriends, family, mistresses, husbands, wives, boyfriends, buddies, and people we know who've won the lottery.

I don't need no stinkin' money!

Trick or Treat by Richie Tankersley Cusick is $1.99 at Amazon US.

This book was originally published by Scholastic as part of their Point Horror line of teen horror books, so don't expect anything too gruesome. But the book does sound fun.

I was too old to pay attention to the Point Horror novels when they were being released. I likely would have devoured them.

Quote:
A young girl is forced to move into a broken-down house in the country—and she and her new stepbrother discover its hidden horrors . . .

Martha wants to be happy for her father. She likes his new wife—even if she’s a terrible cook—but she doesn’t understand why they had to leave Chicago and move to this horrible house in the country. It’s big, broken-down, and miles from anywhere, alone in the woods with nothing on the property but an overgrown cemetery. But at night it doesn’t feel empty. Conor—her new, weird stepbrother—chose Martha’s new room for her. It’s dark and drafty, and no matter how she tries to fix it up, she can’t sleep easily there. At night, whispers come from the closet, filling Martha with a sense that something terrible happened here. She’s right. Not long ago, the house was the site of a gruesome murder. When Conor and Martha’s parents leave town on their honeymoon, the two teens will find out why the dead don’t rest easy at the old Bedford house.
Here's the original cover

I just checked this out and I'd like to add on to these prices that it's part of Kindle Unlimited (in Australia, at least)! Picked up all three for free. Thank you!

Lurk by Adam Vine is $0.99 at Amazon US.

You want an original idea in horror fiction? Try this:

Quote:
College student Drew Brady never wanted the power to spy on his friends. But late one night, he finds a box of old Polaroids buried under his house that can change to show him whatever he desires, and Drew finds himself with the power to watch the people around him without them ever knowing.

Yet as Drew falls deeper into the rabbit hole of jealousy and despair, he begins having strange visions of the students who lived at the house 20 years ago and the gruesome fates they met after moving out. He finds evidence of a stalker who may be living on the property. The line between reality and nightmare blurs. Drew realizes there is something under the house that is manipulating him through the pictures, an eldritch, not-quite-dead thing that will drive him to do unspeakable evil if he doesn't look away....
