I'm going to go with the book I just finished (as my memory isn't all that great): Middlegame by Seanan McGuire.

And A Warrior of Attaii by Robert Jordan. I don't know if it is good or not, but I hadn't read a sword and sorcery book in decades and I enjoyed it.
