Gibt es eine Geschäft, wo man verschiedene Reader verleichen kann?
Werden eigentlich irgendwo, in einem "richtigen" Geschäft, viele Reader verschiedener Marken angeboten? So, dass man sie mal schön Side-by-Side vergleichen könnte?

Soweit ich weiß führen die Hugendubel-Geschäftsstellen die Sony Reader, das Cybook Opus und den iRiver Story.

Ich kenn da nur die Hungendubel-Filialen. Die haben den Sony PRS-505, 600, Cybook Opus und den iRiver Story.

Außer bei Hugendubel habe ich die Geräte nirgends offen herumliegen sehen. Aber fragen lohnt sich: teilweise haben die Buchhandlungen die Reader da (teilweise sogar mehrere), haben diese aber weggeschlossen und holen sie nur auf Anfrage raus. Ob wegen des Preises oder weil sie sich mit dem Gerät nicht wirklich "wohlfühlen" - ist wohl Spekulation. Aber versuch' doch mal Dein Glück!

Hallo Ewy, herzlich willkommen bei MobileRead! Viel Spaß beim Lesen mit dem 505.

@mos: außer Hugendubel weiß ich leider auch kein Geschäft, wo man sich unterschiedliche Lesegeräte mal ansehen und vergeichen könnte. Wenn es um ein bestimmtes Gerät geht, das dich interessiert, könntest du im entsprechenden Produktforum fragen, ob jemand aus deiner Nähe eines hat und du dir dieses evtl. ansehen könntest.

Hier in Aachen hat die Mayersche Buchhandlung schon seit Jahren verschiedene Reader im Hauptgeschäft zur Auswahl. Zumindest habe ich dort im letzten Jahr Reader von Sony, iRex und Bookeen gesehen. Inzwischen sind es sicherlich noch mehr.

Ich habe mir bei Hugendubel die genannten Geraete mal angeschaut. Leider waren die Angestellten nicht so sehr auf dem laufendem und konnten einige Fragen nicht beantworten. Aber zum "seh vergleich" reichts.

Hätte ich das Geld übrig, würde ich liebend gern einen "eBuchladen" aufmachen. Mit Terminals zum Downloaden und natürlich allen gängigen Readern zum Begrapschen.

Und gemütlichen Leseecken mit Coffeshop.

Lustigerweise wäre solch ein Laden günstiger als ein klassicher Buchladen. Ein halbes Dutzend Notebooks samt Stelltischen, dazu ein paar Sitzgruppen, und ein paar Acryldisplays für die Reader. Maximal 10.000-12.000 Euro. Solange man die Reader auf Kommission bekommt.

Tja, habe ich auch schon ueberlegt - aber das begrabschen von den readern? Neeeee, da kommt keiner mit fettigen Fingern dran. Angestellte mit Handschu muessten her . Der Kunde kann dann zugucken.

Das Berühren der Figüren mit den Pfoten ist verboten ...

Man kann die Reader ja hinter eine Schutzscheibe stellen und dann solche Armschläuche einsetzen, wie bei radioaktiven oder bakteriologischen Stoffen.

"Sie wollen Ihren Reader mit den bloßen Fingern anfassen?! Glauben Sie, wir verkaufen hier Bücher?!? Ferkel!"

Nur leider würde sich auch die erwartete Gewinnspanne in Grenzen halten. Zumindest solange, bis digitale Literatur ein bisschen beliebter wird - doch dann kommen bestimmt ein paar hühnenhafte Schlägerinnen vorbei

Versteht ihr´s? nein? Mist. Bin wohl schon zu gaga heute...

Ich gehe ja auch nicht davon aus, dass man davon leben kann. Leider. So einen Laden könnte man nur strategisch eröffnen, aber nicht, um seinen Lebensunterhalt davon zu bestreiten.

Die hünenhaften Schlägerinnen setze ich mit der neuesten Firmware von Pocketbooks außer Gefecht. Die schlägt noch immer alles ...

Ich habe mir letztens bei Hugendubel die Reader angeschaut und war doch etwas entsetzt wie lieblos die das präsentiert werden.Auf keinem Gerät war ein eBook drauf und zwei der vier Geräte funktionierten gar nicht mehr.
Wenn sich da keiner drum kümmert sollten sie es lieberganz lassen.
