Kindle 4 Unable to close text editor

I am unable to reach the close button in the koreader text editor on my non touch kindle 4 and none of the buttons let me exit it. I have tried powering off and on but it starts back up in the text editor. How do i close out of it?

You cannot power off a Kindle. You might have to let the battery drain.

Have you tried restarting (rebooting) by pushing the power button for 20 to 60 seconds?

Are you able to ssh over USB or wifi? If so,
/sbin/init 0
will power off, and
/sbin/init 6
will reboot.

You really should be starting your threads in the Kindle Developer's sub-forum.

After many times of restarting the kindle i was able to get it to boot into the home screen. Thanks.
I will use Kindle Developer's sub-forum for any future problems.
