Kindles mit Touchscreen können das auch, wenn die Fußnoten als Endnoten realisiert wurden. Amazon bewirbt das als "heuristische Fußnotenerkennung".

Ich weiß nicht wie Amazon das softwareseitig gelöst hat, aber ich kann bei meinen Kindle problemlos auf Fußnoten tippen, die in der Zone angezeigt werden, bei denen Tippen oder Wischen normalerweise einen Seitenwechsel auslöst.

Ein Manko hat das Ding nach wie vor: es gibt keinen Knopf für "Werkseinstellungen des Buches verwenden". Was sind Endnoten ? Ich mein technisch ?? Fußnoten, so wie wir die betreiben, sind ja eigentlich nur Hyperlinks und am Sprungziel befindet sich dann ein Link zum zurückhüpfen.

Schön daß der Kindel das auch kann, ein weiteres Argumet für andere Hersteller nachzuziehen.

Achso, ja so mach ich das immer. Fußnoten sind im EPub-Format eher schlecht auf andere Art unterzubringen, da es ein "Ende der Seite" ja nicht gibt.

Angeblich alle, getestet hab ich prc, djvu, pdf und azw und epub. Bei azw ist mir aufgefallen, das die Sonderzeichen (Cherokee Lessons) nicht rüberkommen, das kann aber auch am Buch liegen (auf dem Kindel-Reader für iOS funktioniert das Buch). PDF ist unterschiedlich. Bücher die speziell für E-Reader gemacht sind (Bulwer-Cliffort A66) funktionieren wunderbar. Eingescännte Bücher (Tante Kugel und Co.) garnicht. (Die kann der Tollino aber auch nicht.)

Ich sollte das konkretisieren: was hier überschrieben wird, ist das line-height-Attribut, Margin und Padding nicht. !Important hab ich noch nicht ausprobiert, das könnte helfen.

Ich schon. Ich habe aus älterer Zeit Hunderte von Opernlibretti in einem bestimmten PDB-Format, die mit dem FB-Reader wunderbar klappten. (Die dann alle konvertieren?? )

Ich lade mal so ein Dings hoch. Kannst du das mal bitte auf deinem TL3 testen, mmat1?

Anmerkung: Man kann viele, viele Codierungen einstellen, der Test erfolgte mit "Automatisch". Vielleicht gibts ja eine Codepage, mit der das Problem nicht auftritt.

Wer mit Android-Tablets liest, dem kann ich nur den PocketBook eReader für Android (kostenlos) empfehlen; richtig eingestellt reproduziert er das ePub 1:1, und auch der noch so kleinste Link wird trotz Touchscreen einwandfrei erkannt. Auf einem 8"-Tablet kommt da echte Buchfreude auf. - Der Reader kann übrigens auch PDF sehr überzeugend.
Aus dem Antesten von mindestens zwei Dutzend Android-eReadern ist diese App für mich als klarer Sieger hervorgegangen; dagegen sah Alkdiko, das sonst in der Reproduktion der eBook-eigenen Formate sehr gut ist, verdammt alt aus.

PocketBook eReader für Android ist definitiv eine App mit Potential, die einige Features bietet, die andere Apps nicht haben oder hinzugekauft werden müssen (z. B. TTS-Unterstützung).

Die "Drehscheiben-Benutzeroberfläche" ist allerdings ziemlich gewöhnungsbedürftig und nicht gerade intuitiv zu bedienen. (Ich konnte zum Beispiel nicht auf Anhieb herausfinden, wie man das Inhaltsverzeichnis anzeigt.)

Das haben andere App-Hersteller besser gelöst.

Außerdem scheint die App Probleme mit einigen aufwendig formatierten ePub2-Büchern zu haben. Zum Beispiel bekam ich auf meinem Android 4.4.4-Tablet beim Lesen von GrannyGrumps hervorragend formatierten und auch inhaltlich sehr interessanten Buch Nine Unlikely Tales von Edith Nesbitt ständig eine Fehlermeldung, obwohl das Buch laut epubcheck keine Fehler enthält.

Mit sehr großen Dateien (um die 17.000 ePub-Seiten) braucht man manchmal einen zweiten Anlauf, aber dann klappt's. - Die "Drehscheibe" bedarf gewiss der Eingewöhnung, und es gibt auch, mit dem Fehlen von seitengenauem "Gehe-zu" z.B., Mängel, die aber m.E. durch die übrige performance ganz gut ausgeglichen werden.
