And the beat goes on:

Today, a third-party (iow, a client of the client) client for whom we've made a TON of changes, including moving some of the content frm aligned, left-right (using tables) to vertically stacked, sent this doozy:

Quote:
"...reconciling what I see implemented in (Chapter) with a stable, table-based layout regardless of font-size and what we're seeing in Appendix A."
(italic emphasis added)

Uh...you mean, the "stable" table-based content that we had there BEFORE, that you wanted eliminated? Because it "looked bad" at font size 7, in Ember, on a PPW???? THAT stable, table-based content?

I'm dying to know what he thinks a stable table that will function, on a Kindle, REGARDLESS OF FONT SIZE, looks like. Can't wait.

(December 25th cannot, cannot, get here soon enough for me.)

The problem is that you cannot always do something in an eBook that will work at every font size and if you don't do it, it can't be done any other way so you just have to do it and hope that nobody who buys it needs fonts that big.

As for the 57 different fonts. Oy vey!

Happy Hannukah, sweetie!

I know. It's frustrating as hell, and he doesn't know how to rotate his device, so....(sigh). In fairness to him, the 57 fonts is a different book. He has a nice layout, for his print version. Very nice, in fact.
