I know there are still a few of you out there who can't read Dutch so I made a translation from the text that goes with the 2 url's TadW placed here.
[pict1] "Edwin of irex came in this afternoon with an Iliad tablet (on the picture with a Nokia N70 to give you an idea of its size) A real e-ink device on which for instance you can read the newspaper. The screen is incredebly comfortable because it literally is in off position. It is activated to write a new page and after that the screen stays as it is. There is no backlight, it is literally as easy as reading from paper because it uses real (but very special) ink. The software is based on Linux and all software, including the documentformats are completely open. very cool. maybe I'll even start reading a newspaper when it is released on the market." [pict2] "Ron just found out that he has written about it two months ago, but nothing beats handling the real thing." [pict3] "It is beautiful, a very thin device." |
