Formatting SD card on linux
Hi,
I use a 4 GB HDSD card. Obviously the DR cannot format the card, but if I format the card using my camera, then the DR reads it perfectly fine. However, if I format the card using my laptop (running linux), either using mkdosfs or gparted, the DR does not read the card. Since formatting by the camera works, I don't have a problem. But I am just curious how to other people on linux format their cards. I am using Code:
sudo mkdosfs -F 16 /dev/mmcblk0 |

I believe it has to be FAT32, doesn't it?
