For what reason specifically? Breaking multi-paragraph footnotes seems like a bad default, and the display should be virtually indistinguishable for single-paragraph footnotes.

The initial reason was to show the footnote text in the same line as its number.
Now I see that it will break multi-paragraph footnotes, so it is not a good idea, thank you for your comment.

That sounds like there are book-specific files that override the usual display? Unfortunately https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=267998 doesn't work on FB2 but it might be interesting to see the specifics.

I reinstalled KOReader and now word spacing setting works perfectly, sorry for false alert.

Installed nightly v2020.02-33-g8502a96_2020-03-06 to checkup fb2 footnotes display.
It is perfect now, both in-page and popups, without any issues.

Hi there,
I am running "koreader-kindlepw2-v2020.02" on PW4 and find it an excellent software. A question about its screensavers. They are displayed with vertical stripes, no matter the source - book cover or an image file. An example is attached. It's from a jpg file, 758 x 1024. Is it fixable via some settings? The stock screensavers are pretty good - nice contrast, clarity, and resolution. Thanks.

I have an idea of applying these covers to cc.db so that Kindle can show books with covers in main menu.
I used sqlite on Kindle to replace an Entries called p_thumbnail with a path a random screenshot for specific book with:

Have a look at the attached screenshot: the second book has a screenshot as a cover. It Works!

So if I can reach book covers extracted by KUAL, I can make a script to attach these covers in Kindle menu.

Alas, I believe those are in:

/mnt/us/koreader/settings/bookinfo_cache.sqlite3

And it's a pixmap in the device's native pixelformat (i.e., Y8 on Kindle), not a traditional image format.

(In this case, it's natively supported by PNG, though, so an encode would be somewhat trivial).

Given that KPVBooklet is severely hobbled on current FW versions, I wouldn't bother too much anyway.
