Well, I think I left Spring Chicken behind some wrinkles ago and yes, we have all that crap too or did. Wordstar, CP/M, damn. You're bringing back some nostalgia, bro!

How funny! I was just thinking of my old Tandy Radio Shack TRS-80, reading this thread! I have fond memories of that machine. Had it a long time, it was still working when I finally gave it away.

I have two free email addresses. GMail and Outlook and they work well. AOL, MSN, Hotmail, and Yahoo are lousy. I did this so if I ever change ISP, I would not have to change my email which is a right pain in the ass. I've changed ISP a number of times. SO it's just easier not to use the ISP email address.

The TRS-80 did work well. I liked it. But eventually it was time to move on.

But Hotmail is Outlook. Microsoft bought them out some years ago.

Heh. I was a total technophobe in my youth. I saw a computer for the first time in 1996, and got one of my own as terribly late as in 2009, at the ripe old age of 37. I just didn't care about that stuff in my twenties or even in my early to mid-thirties, and I was a die-hard paper book fan until 2011. Then I made a 180⁰ turn toward ebooks and never looked back.

Both actors are far better outside of the ads. Justin Long "I'm a Mac" and John Hodgman "I'm a PC" (and an author!).

I'm pretty sure that "both" was just a brief beta period before it was folded into Outlook. A family member still has an email address with the Hotmail domain.

Hell, tell yourself whatever you want, but we email customers at .hotmail, .aol, .yahoo and .msn, etc. every damn day. My customers sure don't know that they've been changed.

And all four of them are nightmares. Don't get me started about .comcast.

Yes, they have a Hotmail address, but you cannot get a new Hotmail address. It's Outlook now for new addresses.

Dunno, but all I can say is, when we see those email addies, we add a premium to our quotes. Not being mean, but invariably, we have a TON more unpaid tech support to provide than we do to those that have branched out a bit to other email addresses, paid email addresses (gasp! what a shocking idea!) and all that.
