Applescript Wrapper Application for Kindlegen

Okay, I've done that, and finally it works, but I get the following message in the .txt file that is produced:

sh: /Applications/KindleGen_Mac_i386_v2_9/kindlegen: Bad CPU type in executable

Any suggestions?

You are running a 32-bit version of KindleGen. Catalina won't run 32-bit apps, requires 64-bit.

You can extract a 64-bit KindleGen from Kindle Previewer by using right-click to Show Package Contents for Kindle Previewer > Contents > MacOS > lib > fc > bin > kindlegen. Make a copy of kindlegen and move it to your Applications to replace the 32-bit version you're currently using.

Okay, I have the Applescript working with Kindlegen from the Kindlegen Preview app, but now I get the following:

• mbt-KF7d9p7E4_2_12_C_27_17_36A_5329_6D2A000_14
• mbt-TATkVy7E4_2_12_C_27_18_16B_5329_6CA7000_16
• name-of-file.txt

The first two files are empty, the text file has data about the epub.
I don't get any mobi file.

Any suggestions?

The text file is a log. Are there any error messages in it?

Have you tried other epubs and get the same problem?

(I do know it's possible to run this KindleGen Applescript Wrapper on Catalina. I've tested it.)

No error message. I corrected all issues, but it still doesn't produce a mobi file. Anyway, I think I'll just go the Calibre route.
