Just a few words about widgets...
If you update an app that is connected to a widget, be sure to open that app soon after updating it. Some widgets seem to lose their connectivity to that app after it is updated and until you open the app. I’ve seen this happen on a few occasions with WX widgets and the Podcast widget. Once the app is opened, the widget starts to function again. Some widgets definitely need connecting to the internet. So if the widget doesn't work or update, make sure you gave it the proper access rights. |

I’m getting used to the automatic pairing of headsets feature. It works pretty well most of the time. I have to manually switch to connect to MacBook but I assume it is because it is because the feature arrives in Big Sur.

Hum. I listen to audiobooks in the car using the books app on carplay. I just finished a 30 hour audiobook today. When I went to pull up the next book, I found that the categories had disappeared from carplay. It's still there in the app on the phone, but if there is a way to pull up the categories on the carplay screen, I haven't found it yet. If the categories really has disappeared from carplay, then that certainly takes away the reason for using books over audible. It makes no sense to me that they would drop the feature and I don't see any mention of it being dropped when I do a search. No idea what's going on. I need to experiment with it tomorrow when I have some time.

On the other hand, the Audible version works quite well. I do have to download the various audiobooks before listening, but I can do that. I had created a duplicate up next category in Audible and had downloaded all the books in the category. |

You can listen to Books audiobooks with the Audible app, if they have been downloaded (and ALLOW AUDIBLE TO ACCESS Media and Apple Music is ON. Seems like that should work in CarPlay, but I have not tried it.

I talked to Apple Support about it yesterday. They wanted me to do a restore from backup. I told them that I'm not interested in doing that, I'm report an issue that should be easy to verify. They are suppose to check with an engineer and call me back this afternoon. I do have one collection that is made up of purely Apple purchased audiobooks (the Harry Potter books), so it's not simply an audible thing. Heck, maybe very few people actually use collections to listen to audiobooks in carplay, but it use to work. |

Just as an update, I did call Apple again, and talked to a senior support specialist. He had me hook my iPhone up to my car, pull up Books and generate a log for the engineer. He forwarded the log to the engineer. I'm still not sure what the deal is, but hopefully I'll hear something back within a week. Until then, I'll keep using the Audible app.

My guess is that the vast majority of CarPlay users only have a couple of books downloaded onto their phone at a time, so it's not really an issue for them. |

So iCloud reminders are broken if you have updated to iOS 13 or above and your Mac computer is not upgraded to Catalina or above. I have this issues as still using Mojave. Do you think they will fix this issues or they won’t wanting people to upgrade. My laptop can upgrade to Catalina but haven’t done so...
