Pocketbook color 3 vs Kindle color

Comparison between a comic on a Kindle color and my pocketbook opened in the same page:

Pocket Book: https://imgur.com/a/Ocmh9W3

I recently bough the pocketbook since it was supposedly the best Kaleido 3 screen so I'm a bit disappointed. The color accuracy seems much more higher on the kindle. the pocket book really struggles with the reds and has a lot of color washout.

It would be good to see a comparison under natural light and the same rotation and sharpness of image. Here's your two images stitched together. I had to rotate the colorsoft one, but it was a bit softer than the pocketbook image anyway.

Looking at these two images, the pocketbook looks better - sharper and more contrast. but I suspect that's an artefact of how the photos were taken.

In all the video and photo comparisons I have seen, the Pocketbook color devices have severely crushed blacks.

The problem with all those comparisons is that they are impacted by the camera and compression so it is hard to say if what I am seeing is the same as what the reviewer is seeing.

Additionally, without a reference image, it is hard to say what the image is intended to look like.
