Search is a regex??

Are the search fields in 'calibredb search ....' and 'calibredb list -s .....' both regexes?

thanks!

calibredb search follows exactly the same semantics as search in the GUI. https://manual.calibre-ebook.com/gui...arch-interface

Thanks - I guess I'm missing something than :-( This is what confused me:

$ calibredb list -s title:"In the beginning" and author:"Isaac Asimov"

id title authors
808 In the Beginning Isaac Asimov
1457 In the Beginning Chaim Potok

$ calibredb search title:"In the beginning" and author:"Isaac Asimov"
808

So the search works exactly the way I expect, but list -s doesn't seem to. FYI, this is the one duplicate title in my library.

You need to quote properly.

calibredb list -s 'title:"In the beginning" and author:"Isaac Asimov"'
