Getting updated books from Kobo
If I bought a book in December, and it was updated with fixes in February, should I get the newer one if I download it again? Or is my account forever tied to the old one?
I reported some errors to a publisher the other day, and they are saying that they sent out a fixed file to all vendors in February, but a version I downloaded in ADE a couple of weeks ago still has the same errors. |

I would think you should get the new version; did Kobo Desktop download a new version?

I don't know how old the version I read on my device was. I bought it in December - the first book I bought for the Kobo Touch, in fact - but only read it last week. I have no idea if the file would ever have been updated.
I downloaded all my KEPUBs as ADE EPUBs recently because of the firmware 2.0 problems, in case I decided to revert. I think the publisher might now have accepted that the fixed version isn't on the Kobo store. (Or worse, that this was the fixed version, in which case it must have been spectacularly bad originally.) |
