What sig? I did locate Temblast Android Applications, Tools and Patches which is what I'm going to assume you are referring to.

Yes, it was the finding the ebook in the my files section that threw me off. Surprised me when I happened to look there! Thanks for your help!

I have the old 4+ 2018 and the new 4+, which I bought September 2023 in NY.
Calibre is able to access both of them, but not able to put more than 999 books on the new one. Using Win 11 on a micro pc and MacOS Yosemite on a 2013 MacBook Pro. Problem is with both systems.

Sorry, I'm out of touch on the B&N stuff now and I don't have my collection by me.
When you connect your 4+ does the screen say, "Connected to PC" and you can't do anything. That is, UMS.
Of does the 4+ look normal but you can transfer files. That is, MTP.

In either case, see if you can make a subdirectory somewhere and put 1000 small text files and see if that works.
This could be a limitation of the 4+ MTP implementation.
Or it could be a limitation of listing/accessing books in the library.

I also have the old 7.8” from 2018 and the newer 4+ from 2023. The older one shows as a USB drive in Windows. The newer Nook is MTP. It shows up in Windows 11 as a folder under This Computer. I did have trouble getting the newer one to show on Windows 10. I had to plug in the Nook and then restart the Nook and it would show up. I don’t have any problems in Windows 11. The newest version of Calibre works with it too.

I haven’t tried to copy that many files to it. I only copy books I bought outside B&N.

FWIW, I'm using linux and have been using the utility go-mtpfs (https://github.com/hanwen/go-mtpfs) to transfer read/write files to my nook gl4+ successfully. Haven't tested this utility in other oss.
