dictionaries bug solved
I was very pleased that a very old (last time it was ok was F/W 3.15) and very annoying bug is corrected in this F/W: now, when the pop-up dictionary is not enough and I call a word from it (or call the dictionary from the menu bottom right), the language is that of the book, not systematically English like it was.

However, for installation in these models only the archive KoboRoot.tgz can be copied to the hidden directory .kobo. |

Sorry guys, but if the battery problems were caused by a software issue, we should see it also in a H2O or in a Glo HD with this new firmware installed.
Am i wrong? Perhaps someone who put 4.2.8110 in these devices could tell me something more... Thanks |

Yes, you are wrong. You should not be seeing battery issues because they should have been fixed in the current firmware.

Also previous firmware was built to correct battery issues, but it didn't (I've had an Aura One until 16th November, did more tests but battery lasted 5-6 days with 6-7 hours of reading) |

I'm waiting to find out if there are any deal breakers before I install.

Noticed that in Calibre the Kobo Extended Plugin doesn't process the epub files to kepub anymore when loading books on the Kobo. Using the latest versions of Calibre, the plugin and the Kobo firmware. Anyone know where the problem lies?
More ontopic: noticed the auto-sleep function being much more accurate (ie not keeping the reader on when the cover is closed). Seems to be reliable enough to use this function again. |

There is no reason for that. It is more likely that something has changed in your configuration. Make sure the plugin is still installed and enabled. And the option for sending kepubs is enabled.

The plugin is still installed en enabled. As far as I know, there is no way to have the plugin enabled, but not turn epubs to kepubs when loading them on the reader. Just looked at the settings and can't find anything that seems to be set wrong. Can it be something in my Calibre settings (not the plugin)?
