I have it for free at this time. I was considering keeping it for ebooks. Now that it has unlimited audio, I definitely want to keep it. Just have to get a small device to stream/download audio.

Be sure to stay awake all night on Black Wednesday. The online deals usually go live between midnight and 2am or so. Hopefully you can snag the LG Volt. As for Thanksgiving dinner later that day, just buy some Stouffer's frozen turkey dinners. Remember, online shopping's more important than slaving over a hot stove fixin' dinner. |

I've also signed up for the three-month promo.
So am I reading this right, that I can't download to my device from the Web, I can only download from the device itself? I'm trying that now, and I'm glad directions were posted or I'd be floundering! I've been going through the site to add audiobooks to library, and I've noticed that the times given for some of the books at Scribd seem to indicate that they are abridged (e.g., some classics); however, when I started a couple and looked at the table of contents, the times for the chapters don't match the total--i.e., they apparently aren't abridged after all. Very weird. |

I dig you. And since it will just be the 6 of us (no guests) I'm not planning much of a meal. One of my sons will eat turkey. Two of the other kids might have a little. If I can find a good price on a turkey breast, that's what I'll get. As for the traditional fixings, none of the kids will touch any of that. Nor will they eat pie. So I will have no problems staying online hunting for deals. |

Ewwww....Turkey from Aldi's? It is ok if it is a brand name, like Butterball. I wouldn't buy meat there or at Walmart, unless it had a brand name that we know. (Not that we ever shop at Aldi's). |

As for the Ready Roast. Give it a shot! No mess or fuss and takes about 2 1/2 hours. Add a box of Stove Top stuffing (5 minutes to make) a jar of Heinz Turkey Gravy and Country Crock ready to serve Homestyle Mash potatoes (5 minutes in nuker) and your go to go. I also grab a bag of Steamfresh veggies for a side. That's been our thanksgiving for years now. Oh I forgot Pillsbury croissants sometimes. I do bake pies though but they are ready made pies like Sara Lee or Mrs Smith or if I am lucky and I can find Plush Pippins which are outstanding. Oh and to bring some back to topic Scribd does have cookbooks for those who actually like to make stuff from scratch. They also have those diet books too for after the holidays and you need to lose those pounds you gained. Last edited by Blossom; 11-10-2014 at 07:54 AM. |

Tofurky and pumpkin pie make for a great Thanksgiving dinner, and you can even skip the Tofurky and just double up on the pumpkin pie.

No Walmarts here. I usually make my own--the recipe includes tofu. I may try Trader Joe's pumpkin pie this year, though my local TJ's seems to be running out of all things pumpkin already.

I always get someone else to make my holiday pies. This year, Sara's gonna make 'em for me. Last year, it was Mrs Smith (I always forget her first name). Marie makes good pies, but she charges too much. This year, it'll be cherry, pumpkin, and cherry cheesecake
