Calibre can't see Tolino Shine anymore

Calibre can't see Tolino Shine anymore...

This happened a few months ago. It worked a few months on windows 10, and then the "sent to" button" disappeared. I have one USB-port which detects the device in explorer, so I can load books manually... but there is no activation in Calbre. There are no ignored devices. The plugin is enabled.

What did I do :
Tolino updated to v1.8.2--- Updated windows 10---Updated Bios to latest version --- updated Calibre to 2.64.0 --- tried several compatiblilty modes (W7,W8)
Found this idea on internet : to change "User Defined USB driver" https://papierlos-lesen.de/tolino-vi...bre-verbinden/ but no result.


All this had no results : So I am getting a bit hopeless

I see tolino 2 times under MTP

According to that debug output your device is not in MTP mode, it is being detected as a scsi disk.

I don' t have any settings to change this in the menu.
Should there be a hidden menu ?

I have no idea, I have never laid my hands on this device.

I installed Calibre on my daughters Dell laptop (Windows 10 also) . On this machine everything works correct.
So the Tolino is ok I suppose
How can we explain this ? Could there be a problem with the USB drivers on my PC ? Although the Tolino is detected by the PC, but then it gets the wrong trigger from my USB port ....?? Can I install some other drivers ?

I was a bit creative today.

In Calibre, I created a new library on the "extsd" on my Tolino. Now I can copy books from Calibré to that to that library on my reader.
Then I activated "automount" in windows so the Tolino should always get the same driveletter.

For now, this seems to work alright and it is a decent workaround for my problem.

I'm happy, My wife is even happier...



Any suggestions on solving the USB problem are still welcome.
