Pollard, Percival: Lingo Dan (1903); v1; 28 Oct 2020
Tales of two crooks, loquacious and educated Lingo Dan, and his monosyllabic sidekick Billy.
Unusual book; 10 tales, 37,000 words, The edition whose scan I used was from author Vincent Starret's own library, and I have included his bookplate in this ebook. Pollard (1869-1911) leaned to aestheticism and impressionism as an author, rather than naturalism or realism. He published a dozen or so books, but his "day job" was a literary critic.
