No way to turn page with 'swipe only' in KOReader?
I wonder if there is a way to select 'swipe only' as page turn? In Nickel I find this option very useful to prevent accidental turning of pages.
I am on v2015.11-1523-g78284e1, KSM09, Kobo Glo HD |

You can, but it's a touch awkward. Just set the width and height of the backward/forward tap zone to 0.
https://github.com/koreader/koreader...ts.lua#L74-L75 Quote:
Code:
DTAP_ZONE_FORWARD = {x = 0, y = 0, w = 0, h = 0} DTAP_ZONE_BACKWARD = {x = 0, y = 0, w = 0, h = 0} |

Thank-you very much Frenzie, works great!
May I ask you what is the best way to upgrade to new releases? Should I copy the new koreader directory upon the old, or should I delete the old directory and replace it with the new (saving just the defaults.persistent.lua)? Also another question: if I want to show an html file of my choice at power off, where should I put it? Thanks for your precious help |

Generally just overwriting is fine. That's also what the OTA update does. There's probably no practical difference between that and saving the settings and putting them back again. If you want absolute certainty I'd keep a complete backup. Quote:

I don't know if it has changed with KSM9 but when you create your "poweroff_info.html" you can use something like mine:
<html> <head> <title>kobo menu info</title> <style type="image/png"> p { margin-top: 0.5em; } </style> </head> <body> <img src="/mnt/onboard/.adds/kbmenu/txt/poweroff.png"> </body> </html> As you can see I just put my poweroff.png in the txt folder where the poweroff_info.html resides. By the way, I get this image for my power off in KOReader, as well. Luck; Ken |

Hmm... I have my suspend/screensaver set to display the book cover and that flashes up for a second or two before my KSM poweroff image appears, when I select Power off in KOReader.
There is a way to set a separate Poweroff image, there should be a description in a closed issue at the project on Github. I think it was a couple of lines added to the reader.settings.lua. Luck; Ken |

I don't know how I missed that... there is an option in the menu for a random image in a folder. It wasn't there in the previous version I had and I didn't check.
I'll test this. Thanks a lot |
