The General's President

I bought the January 2012 bundle from Baen some time ago in which I got a copy of The General's President by John Dalmas. I have read his books before and I knew I was in for a great read, I was not disappointed however, looking back on the book I am amazed that it was shelved with other sci-fi books. I do not think that this is a sci-fi book sort of a political commentary but not a sci-fi book. Any thoughts on The General's President.

Haven't read it yet, but Baen publish a lot of right-wing stuff that's "thriller" than than "SF. I find it extremely distasteful myself, but I guess it has its audience.

The general's president is one of those books that people liked when it was first published in soft back, so baen is just now getting around to putting together the electronic version of the novel. If you are interested in the novel I would recommend buying the February 2012 bundle that has a few other great books in the package along with the Dalmas book.
