John Schember retiring
Sorry to learn that you are retiring John: Sigil has been (is) a wonderful project and will continue to be so with Kevin and Doug.
This is one app I use nearly every day! Anyway, I'm sure to see (read actually!) you here time to time! Have a nice time, as you gave a lot of yours. PS I hope there is not double post to that specific matter. Message her http://sigil-ebook.com/) |

THANK YOU, JOHN!!!
And, GOD, could you have BEEN more verbose? Sheesh. If you'd gone on any longer with that farewell speech, I'd have passed out. In a professional way, for everything you did for Sigil: Hitch |

Yes, THANK YOU John
Sigils UI is a closer fit to my work style than the competitor (Notice that I avoided using the B word . They are both very good. Just different) Without your efforts, Sigil would have died a long time ago |

Thanks for all your efforts. Sigil would not have come this far without your efforts.

I've been using Sigil to create my eBooks and I'm very happy with the software; in fact I donated today and will donate more in the future.
Thank you John for your contribution to the Sigil project and more power to those taking it forward. |

I would like to add my thanks to John for Sigil. I have been a regular user of the program and was disappointed to find that it would no longer be maintained.
I started to use Callibre, but today when I found out that Kevin and Doug will continue to maintain the program I was pleasantly surprised (in fact I only found out today that Sigil is now at version 0.8.x.x. Although I will sometimes use Callibre, Sigil is my favourite ePub editor. Thanks again, John |

Let me add my belated appreciation. I confess I didn't know who John Schember was until yesterday, when I was trying to remove a malware program from my computer and saw his name listed beside Sigil as the Creator.
One of the sobering things about being a writer is discovering how few people pay any attention to the by-line on a story. Even fewer of us, I'm afraid, are aware of who wrote the software we use and love. |

Is John Schember user_none? I thought he "only" took over maintenance of Sigil from Valloric (not to minimize the awesome work that John has put in of course)?
