Export/Import all Calibre data - import error
I used the function export all Calibre data on my MacBook Pro (using Calibre 2.78) I then tried to import the data on a Windows 10 laptop (using Calibre 2.79.1). I then got the following error message: "The folder D:\Calibre Export Calibre Library Lissy de Poel 13-02-2017 is not valid:The exported deta in ._par-0001.calibre-data is not valid, version (469769983) is higher than the maximum supported version. You might need to upgrade Calibre first". The same problem occurs on export/import using Calibre 2.78 on both computers.
Anybody have a solution? Regards, Ian |

That version number indicates a corrupted export as there is no such version. Try doing the export again and remember to copy the enite export folder with all its files intact.

Error remains
I created a new library folder and exported the files. I then created a test library and tried to import the exported files. Got the same error message. Details: calibre, version 2.79.1

Export/Import problem solved
Beenie,
Thanks a lot. I exported my Calibre library as you suggested to a folder that is not in my dropbox folder. I then used this file import on my Windows laptop. Worked fine. Take care, Ian |

Ian, Dropbox anomolies apply to anything you do in calibre, conversions, metadata updates etc... Always pause sync when you do anything with calibre and you should be fine.
