Trying to Add a Collection

I have had my Kindle DX for two days. I am trying to add a collection. The instructions say go to the home screen and then menu button. Then select "Create new collection"
The "create new collection is greyed out, i cannot select it.

Can someone help please?.

You need to turn on wireless and connect (you might need to register on Settings screen first with your amazon account and password). After that, you should be able to create collections.

tomsem, many thanks. Google came up with the same answer as yourself. As soon as i registered the Kindle i was able to create a collection.

Why would one NOT want to register their Kindle?
