HTML Conversion Error

Hi Kovid,

After upgrading to the latest version of Calibre (0.4.109), I tried to convert an HTML file and got this error:

list index out of range
Detailed traceback:

Just restart calibre and you should be fine.

The conversion goes through but when I try to view it, I get this stack error:

'PageTree' object has no attribute '_contents'
Detailed traceback:

File "calibre\gui2\lrf_renderer\document.pyo", line 472, in render

AttributeError: 'PageTree' object has no attribute '_contents'

I saw a similar thread on this issue but the suspect was a DRM'ed PDF. In my case, I took an article from the NYTimes, saved as HTML and dropped it into Calibre.

That page converts with 0.4.115, but the converted file contains mangled characters, which is not surprising considering that the HTML doesn't even display in firefox.

I noticed the error trying to open it after conversion, but I don't have any problems reading the HTML in Firefox. Did it get corrupted when I uploaded it? Can you try this version in your browser?

That's good news

It works fine when I convert it, but when I try to open the lrf, I get this error:

Convert it on the command line (the original HTML file) and you should be fine. Alternatively, wait for the next release to convert in the GUI
