Cool Display Custom Column at Startup

How can you get a custom column to display when Calibre starts? I have one custom column for page count (pages) that I can't get to display when the program opens. If I want to see it I have to right-click on the headers row and manually select "Show Column".

It's not critical, just annoying that it won't automatically display at startup.

If you go to Preferences=>Add Your Own Columns is the box next to your custom column selected? If it's not then it won't show when you restart Calibre.

Yes, I've done that but it still doesn't show at startup.

Odd, sounds like calibre isn't saving your settings.

Is this happening with any other settings?

Could using the view manager plugin give these symptoms?

Yes, I believe it does in fact allow you to set default show/hide columns. That would do it.

That was it. I just had to go into the ViewManager plugin and customize it. Thanks!
