How Do You Transfer Your Ebook Wish List to a Spreadsheet?

Hi all

I’ve started keeping track of ebooks I’d like to buy in the future, but I’d love to find an easy way to transfer my wishlist from an ebook retailer (like Kobo or Barnes & Noble) to a spreadsheet. Does anyone have a method for doing this, or a tool that can help automate the process?

Download the list in any text format (even copying from a web page) and then edit the data into a suitable format (e.g. tab-separated).

Personally, I just add them to uk.ereaderiq.com rather than keeping a local list, but that's because I (currently) buy from Amazon.

Even though I buy mostly from Kobo, I haven't been able to find a Kobo-specific price tracker tool that provides the same functionality as eReaderIQ, so I continue to use that as well. There's usually an 80% chance that what's on sale on Amazon will be on sale on Kobo, anyway.

If it's only on sale at Amazon, you can also take a screenshot and likely price match it at Kobo, or so I've read.

Generally you don't need a screenshot. I only get asked for one about one time in 10 when I ask for a price match.

All the ones that I have requested over the years have been accepted. The additional 10% of the competitor's price is nice to have.

The only times I've been asked for a screenshot was when the price was a short-lived Amazon special so I could show the price shown on Amazon when I purchased the book. I've also requested a price match for Google and no issues with that one either.

Pretty well all. I don't recall one being refused.

Thanks, everyone! It’s really helpful to know about the price matching and how it works with Kobo. I think I’ll start by copying my wishlist into a text file and organizing it into a spreadsheet. If I find any tool that makes it easier, I’ll let you all know.
