Frames around images

KOreader shows a thin frame around every image in an ebook. Is there a way to avoid this?

There has been some recent changes to how images get displayed, including that you can long-press on an image and it will be displayed full screen. I can barely see what you are talking about. I guess you would need to use a different image rendering engine, to have it display without any image frame, at all.

Luck;
Ken

I attached two images, maybe this makes it clearer. As you can see, there is a frame around every graphical element. If you have a book with a lot of graphical elements, for instance at the beginning of a chapter or little elements between paragraphs, it quickly becomes an annoyance.

See the comparison between CoolReader (CR.jpg) and KOReader (KR.jpg). Neither CoolReader nor Kobo's reading software are showing these frames.

I would guess that Coolreader and the Kobo reading softwares are using different implementations of probably different image rendering .lib(s). Can you look inside the ebook file and see the extension of the image files effected?

It looks to me like it signals that these images are clickable. Maybe because now you can see images full screen.

Anyway, I'd ask on github to be sure.

Thanks, Alan! I just tried, the images are all clickable. I hope, there is a way to change the color of the frame to white.
