Publishing
From time to time I scribble short stories usually with a little bit of a naughty theme. If I can work out the mysteries of creating a .prc file of them would it be acceptable to publish them here?
Under what genre would I publish them? Thanks Karen |

Hello KarenB & welcome to MobileRead. We just love to have authors post their books and stories here. You don't have to specify a genre at all, but depending on the plot, you might tag it as "Fantasy" or "Mystery" (if one of those applied) and then in the description point out that the story line is naughty or risque or explicit (whichever applies) so that those downloading will know what to expect.

You might also want to try Feedbooks as well (cuts out having to produce the files yourself). I publish my stuff with them, and it's easy to do.

I published my first book over at Feedbooks as well. It has some explicit sexual scenes in it, and I've had great feedback from the readers. The system over at Feedbooks is very easy to use, and you get a professional end result. Readers can download in a variety of formats, but all you need to upload is Word.

you might also want to try mobipocket. I love it, but you do need to know html to make it look good.

The link to my story is elsewhere on this site at https://www.mobileread.com/forums/showthread.php?t=51210. If anyone wants to read it, please keep in mind that it's a light romance with a paranormal twist, and it has some fairly explicit sex scenes in it. --JanG. |

I've created a Mobi pocket format text with book designer updated to 5.0 and uploaded it.
https://www.mobileread.com/forums/showthread.php?t=54305 I did notice its easier to proof read on the Cybook so I have some typos to correct. I also noticed the table of contents doesn't appear on my cybook as a table of contents. I can go to the first page and then jump to the various stories. Any suggestions please? Karen |
