Google Books reader

As you probably know, you can read many books on books.google.com. Can you view any of these on any of the ebook readers?

If the books are public domain you can download a PDF copy. But then, you're probably better off getting them here in the format you need or from Manybooks.....

There are masses of non-public domain books there. Would be great if you can read them on an ereader. Anyone know?

This is the first time I have been there, and it looks like some good reading. I didn't see a download link.

Last I checked, the Non-Public Domain books there limit how much of the book you can read. Essentially it is enforcing a type of fair use.

You're right! I scrolled thru Ender's Game and it looked OK, but Yrs Best 2006 is missing every other page. So Google is not a free reading site, it is advertising for booksellers. Fair enough, but it would be nice if they told a girl that up front.

And by the way, now I need to see if there is an e-edition of Yrs Best 2006. I love short story scifi.
